Nutrition

Registered dietitians and nutrition professionals.

Short answer

In Canada, "dietitian" is a protected title, and only people registered with a provincial regulatory body can use it. Other titles such as nutritionist are protected in some provinces and not in others. For medical nutrition needs, look for a registered dietitian.

Common nutrition services

  • Nutrition consultations
  • Meal planning support
  • Sports nutrition
  • Virtual appointments

What to expect

A first appointment usually covers your eating habits, schedule and goals.

Registered dietitians may ask for information from your doctor if it is relevant.

Evalynn's request form does not ask for medical history. Share that directly with the professional you choose.

How to choose a professional

  • Check the professional's registration on the provincial regulator's public register.
  • Ask whether your benefits plan covers the service and what receipt details it needs.
  • Be cautious of anyone selling supplements as part of the consultation.

What affects the price

Evalynn doesn't publish average prices because we don't yet have reliable data for each city. These are the factors that usually move the price:

  • Initial versus follow up visit
  • Session length
  • Virtual or in person
  • Benefits coverage

Next steps

Submit a request with your city, timing and what you're looking for. We share it only with approved professionals who offer nutrition in your area, and they contact you directly.
